Nottingham and Nottinghamshire is a great place to visit, especially now spring has sprung. Although if accessibility is an issue it's sometimes hard to work out where to go. We look at the top 5 places to visit.

 

  1. Nottingham Castle: The castle has recently undergone a major refurbishment, with improved access for those with mobility issues. There are lifts and ramps throughout the castle, allowing visitors to explore the exhibitions, galleries, and stunning views of the city.
  2. Wollaton Hall and Deer Park: This beautiful Elizabethan mansion is set in over 500 acres of parkland, which is home to a large herd of deer. There are accessible paths throughout the park, with plenty of seating areas and cafes to rest and take in the scenery.
  3. National Justice Museum: Located in the heart of Nottingham, this museum is fully accessible and offers an interactive and immersive experience, exploring the history of crime, punishment and justice.
  4. Attenborough Nature Centre: This award-winning eco-friendly nature reserve is fully accessible, with wheelchair-friendly paths and bird hides. There are plenty of opportunities to spot a variety of wildlife, as well as a café and gift shop.
