Nottingham On Call's new Eva is here!

Nottingham on Call is excited to have appointed Chiptech International Ltd to support its delivery of digital telecare.

The Chiptech Eva is our latest device to join our family of support products to offer even more reassurance to our customers across Nottingham. EVA pendant on the move

As you may already know, here at Nottingham On Call we offer 24 hours a day, 365 days a year care alarms to thousands of people across Nottinghamshire. We have a dedicated call team and local response service that is available to our Nottingham customers. Our digital alarms now extend to customers across the country.

The new product is known as the EVA. It will not only provide a better day-to-day experience for NOC’s customers, it will also help to future-proof the service in advance of the analogue switch off in 2025.

It can also be paired with a range of other equipment, designed to keep people with specific needs safe.

Antony Dixon, Head of Nottingham on Call, said: “We have been looking to find products that work with our existing service, help us plan for digital transformation, and offer even greater reassurance to our customers. We’re confident that we have found something special in the Eva and we are very pleased to be working with Chiptech to bring this product to our customers.”

So what is the EVA?

The EVA is a digital base unit that provides 24/7 support at home. It has the option to be self installed with its built in voice guided installation instructions and has up to 80 hours battery life. It has a peripheral range of over 300 metres and so will also work when the wearer is out in the garden.

If the wearer is to fall in the home or garden, they can simply press the personal pendant that is worn around the neck and this will connect them to NOC's call centre.

The Eva easily connects to Nottingham On Call's other safety devices which can be really useful for many. For example, if someone is prone to falling, the Eva can be linked with our existing falls detector. This means it would detect if you were to fall in your home or garden and would alert our team.

If you or a loved one lives alone and you think the new Eva would be a benefit then please get in touch with us today and one of our team can answer any questions you might have.
