Nottingham on Call celebrates another great year
At Nottingham on Call we're always keen to shout about the incredible service our teams offer our customers of Nottingham.
The last couple of years have been challenging for everyone and it certainly added challenges for NOC too. However, throughout the whole pandemic we made sure that our services remained in place so that our customers were still taken care of 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
In 2021 we had 1,069 new customers which was an increase of 10% on the previous year.
Our teams continued to work harder than ever and in total our teams made and received 556,570 calls in respect of care alarm provision and a further 42,650 call in respect of out of hours provision. This amounts to 1.15 calls for every minute of every day.
In addition to this, Nottingham On Call’s call centre received 10,692 critical calls where an emergency response was required. A huge 98.32% of these calls were answered within 60 seconds which is above the 97.5% National Performance Standard.
We also have our wonderful response team who travel around the city in our electric vehicles responding to non-emergency calls. The team attended 1,380 call outs in response to non-medical and care related emergencies. This sometimes includes our falls lifting service.
The falls lifting programme means that if a customer was to have a fall in the home and isn’t injured, our trained team can attend with our falls lifting equipment to get the individual back on their feet without having to call for an ambulance. This means the person in question won’t be waiting for long periods for an ambulance and also takes some pressure off the emergency services.
We couldn’t be prouder of our wonderful employees who have continued to work tirelessly throughout the pandemic and will continue to offer our first class services going forward.
