Calls top more than 61,000 in May and June

Despite the UK lockdown in May and June, Nottingham on Call’s fantastic contact centre team has handled over 61,000 alarm activations! And they’ve answered nearly every call within 60 seconds!

Both months saw incredibly high call* volumes, with May taking 30,000 calls and June seeing even more at 31,000.

Nottingham on Call works to a national target set by the Telecare Services Association This states that 97.5% of calls must be handled within 60 seconds. It is always our aim to meet or exceed this figure.

Amazingly, despite the huge number of calls and the added pressure from COVID-19 working practises, we answered 99.32% of calls in less than 60 seconds in May and 98.7% in June.

Antony Dixon, Head of Nottingham on Call, said: “It is always our aim to deliver the best possible service to our customers at all times. Our response to alarm calls is of course a critical service and has been operating at full capacity throughout the UK lockdown.

“I have been so proud of every member of the team at NOC during such a difficult time. Like all our key workers, they have all put their personal concerns and worries aside to ensure this service has been uninterrupted.

“Our May call handling response was the third best month we’ve ever had. That was achieved in truly difficult circumstances.

“I can’t praise the team enough for their commitment to our customers and for always pushing the boundaries of what is possible. We have heard from a number of our customers telling us how much they appreciate the care shown by the NOC team.”
